From Dublin but living in and loving Cork City, I'm a big fan of british filmmaking, much prefer it over American, probably because its easier to relate to ! Favourite filmmakers are: Mike Leigh, Shane Meadows, Andrea Arnold, Ken Loach and always like a boisterous Ridley Scott epic.  I've made a lot of short films, usually as DP, leave the tricky stuff to the director ! but you can see some of it at www.brianstynesvp.ie
